Her formal study of fine art began at The Maine College of Art in 1994, where she studied modern and traditional processes of fine art, majoring in photography. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1999.

Her photographs have been shown at galleries and museums locally and nationally, including The Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, The Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, Oregon, and Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in California.

When she's not writing stories or taking photographs, Hall spends her time traveling, kayaking, and cat wrangling.
